New York Times best-selling author Gordon Korman visited Eric Smith Middle School today to share his experiences as a writer. His presentation emphasized the importance of dedication, growth, and creativity, as students were able to ask questions and learn more about a published writer's process.

Tisdale 2nd graders in 2C are having a blast learning how to measure accurately! They collaborated to practice different kinds of jumps and measured with different units.
🌍Last week, Sra. King’s Spanish III students brought their Héroes unit to life, exploring cross-cultural connections through language. They teamed up with Ms. Diakos’s S.T.E.P. students to illustrate their heroes and collaborate on Spanish adjectives to describe them. More than just language learning—this experience fostered patience, kindness, and empathy. Ramsey Schools create inclusive and meaningful learning opportunities for all students! ❤️

Ms. Perucki, the clinical intern from Ramapo College in Mrs. Jezequel's 5th grade Humanities class, is doing a spectacular job! Today's lesson was a strategy for using context clues to discover the meaning of unknown words. Vocabulary increases as well as the understanding of life in Ancient Greece.

Students in Ms. Mellars and Ms. Nagle's Algebra I class are learning the foundations of factoring through concrete and pictorial exploration! Using algebra tiles and colored pencils, students are modeling with mathematics and making use of patterns and different structures. Students will be building procedural fluency from conceptual understanding.
5th graders participated in Musical Chairs, Book Tasting! We danced 💃, we read 📚, we had FUN😀! Through this experience, many students discovered new genres and authors to try.
After researching and analyzing information, 3rd grade multilingual learners at Tisdale are putting the finishing touches on their country reports. They are so proud of their work!
Thank you to the O'Blenis family for coming in to share their Native American culture with our community! Through captivating stories, traditional dance, and insights into their cultural practices, our students were given a unique opportunity to experience the rich traditions firsthand. This engaging presentation brought our 4th grade social studies lessons to life, allowing students to connect with and deepen their understanding of the Native American heritage they’ve been studying in class. It was a memorable and enriching experience that celebrated diversity and cultural appreciation!
