π Wishing all students, staff and their families a relaxing Spring Break.
Enjoy, Ramsey! π

Students in 3Lee are so proud of the opinion writing pieces theyβre developingβchoosing topics that matter to them, using strong reasons, and even addressing counterarguments! One student even color-coded their paragraphs as a strategy to stay organized and clearly show their thinking. These writers are learning that when you care about your topic, your voice shines even brighter.

Our third graders are kicking off their Profile Project by learning from the youngest experts in our building! This week, we visited Mrs. Reid and spoke with Mrs. Zuccala to learn about the Reggio Emilia approach and gain inspiration from how our preschoolers explore big ideas through creativity and curiosity. At Hubbard, we believe all students are learnersβno matter their ageβand weβre always looking for meaningful ways to collaborate across grade levels. These moments reflect the strong sense of connection and shared learning that make our school community so special.

Our preschoolers dove into a fun and fascinating science-meets-art activity! Using magnets and paperclips, they experimented with moving paint across the paperβwatching colors mix and react in real time. This hands-on experience introduced the concept of magnetism in a playful, accessible way while also encouraging creativity, fine motor development, and early problem-solving skills. Itβs these kinds of joyful learning moments that spark curiosity and help build a lifelong love for discovery!

Tomorrow is a District-Wide Sports Jersey and Cap Day to benefit the Doug Parcells Memorial Scholarship Fund. Students are asked to bring a $1 donation to wear a cap or jersey.

Tomorrow is Fine Arts Day at Hubbard! π¨ Donβt forget to dress to be messy and ready for creativity! A huge thank you to the Hubbard PTO for sponsoring this special event that celebrates the joy of art and imagination.

When teachers show up for their students beyond the school day, they plant seeds of belonging, belief, and possibility that stay with them long after the moment ends. At Hubbard, we believe that supporting our students both in and out of the classroom helps nurture a true sense of community. From the stage to the field, weβre proud to cheer them on every step of the way. This is what makes Hubbard School HOME and the Ramsey experience so special! ππ

Our kindergartners had a badge-tastic day visiting the Ramsey Police Department! They learned all about how our local heroes help keep the community safe β and even got a behind-the-scenes peek at a police car. Thank you, RPD, for such a fun and educational visit!

Aprilβs character trait is self-controlβstopping, thinking, and making good choices even when itβs hard! Thank you to our amazing specialists, Mrs. Berland, and all of our students for showing what self-control looks and feels like. From walking calmly in the hallway to listening carefully during a lesson, we are so proud of how our Hubbard students are learning to pause, reflect, and make thoughtful decisions every day!

Strong like a Ram, steady with perseverance at Hubbard School! There wasnβt a single dry eye in the room as one of our preschoolers was celebrated for exemplifying Marchβs character trait: perseverance. Students and staff alike clapped and cheered him onβthis moment was a beautiful reminder of what truly makes Hubbard feel like home.

Thereβs no better way to end a Friday than coming together for School Pride! This month, weβre focusing on the character trait of self-controlβtaking a moment to pause, think, and make good choices, even when itβs hard.

Students explored the idea of different perspectives during an SEL lesson using a powerful optical illusion image. This sparked thoughtful conversation about how we all see things differentlyβand how taking a Meta-Moment helps us pause, reflect, and respond with empathy.

Look at all these smiles from our third graders after a successful school show! Students were ecstatic and feeling all the emotionsβpride, excitement, and even a little nostalgiaβas they took the stage for their final Hubbard performance. What a special moment to remember!

What a beautiful Celebration of Culture concert! Our third graders shined in their final performance at Hubbard, and we had the most supportive audience to cheer them on. Thank you, Ms. McDonald, for guiding them with heart and harmony every step of the way! ππΆ

Hubbard School Pride Day Tomorrow!

Our early explorers took a creative leap by modifying Can I Play Too? by Mo Willems using Scratch Jr! Students explored storytelling, sequencing, and collaborationβall while giving a classic story their own unique twist through coding!

April is School Library Month, and weβre celebrating Mrs. Erica Lakindβour incredible Library Media Specialist here at Hubbard School! π With 20 years of dedication to Ramsey, Mrs. Lakind creates a welcoming space that sparks curiosity, encourages critical thinking, and builds a love of reading in every student. Thank you, Mrs. Lakind, for making our library the heart of lifelong learning! ππ

Engaged learners in action! Students in 2-Weiss were eager to participate and share their thinking during todayβs lesson.

Third graders are learning all about dataβand today, they explored what a line plot is, what itβs used for, and how itβs similar to other math tools. One student made a great connection by noticing that line plots remind them of fractions because of how the number line is partitioned into equal parts!

T-2 days until our 3rd Grade Celebration of Cultures Concert! Weβre ready to take the stage and shine!
