First grade friendships in full bloom! Nothing brings students together like the joy of recess—and the excitement of finding caterpillars makes it even more magical.

To wrap up a meaningful afternoon, students from Mrs. Clewley, Mrs. Crawford, Ms. Lee, and Ms. Lajam’s classes enjoyed a few final moments on the playground with their Tisdale friends before saying goodbye. A perfect way to end a day filled with connection, collaboration, and celebration!

After rotating through presentations and hearing from their peers, students took time to reflect on what they learned, how they grew, and how their thinking has evolved. Reflection is a vital part of the Profile of a Ramsey Graduate, encouraging students to think critically, communicate thoughtfully, and take ownership of their learning journey. We’re so proud of how our third graders are stepping into these roles—and we can’t wait for the next round of presentations tomorrow!

Our first round of cross-town Profile Project presentations was nothing short of inspiring! Third grade students from Hubbard and Tisdale came together to share their work, ideas, and passions. The Profile Project is a special opportunity where students research a topic of personal or community interest, apply skills they’ve developed across the year, and present their findings to an authentic audience. Today was a powerful reminder of the creativity, curiosity, and confidence our students bring to the table! 💙💛

Smiles to start the long weekend! 🙂Just a reminder that there is no school tomorrow due to an unused snow day. We hope all of our Hubbard families enjoy the extra day and have a wonderful long weekend! 💙💛

REMINDER:
Schools will be closed on Friday, May 23rd due to an unused emergency day, and again on Monday, May 26th in recognition of Memorial Day. Enjoy the long weekend!

Students in PE had a blast playing Web Gem! This exciting game encouraged collaboration, critical thinking, and communication—all key skills in the Profile of a Ramsey Graduate. Through movement and teamwork, students had fun while strengthening essential life skills.

PJ’s, stuffies, and fort day made for the coziest day and a perfect way to bring warmth and joy to a dreary day 🥰

Mrs. Pianoforte’s class is hard at work practicing their red words! With repetition and multisensory strategies, these young learners are building strong foundations in reading and spelling. You can always count on Mrs. Pianoforte to keep her kindergarteners engaged and excited to learn!

Preschoolers explored the wonder of nature through hands-on observation and gentle care of a butterfly. By feeding it, touching it with care, and documenting their observations with drawings and words, they connected deeply with the world around them—fostering curiosity, empathy, and respect for living things.

Hubbard alumni returned as fourth-grade students from Dater School visited for a special peer visit! Joined by Dater's counselor, Mrs. Fishman, they met with some of our third graders to answer questions and share what to expect next year. They also visited each classroom so all students had the chance to meet Mrs. Fishman and the fourth grade students. What a great way to ease nerves, spark excitement, and celebrate the strong connection between our schools! 🐏

Math time in K-Coleman means hands-on learning, big thinking, and lots of smiles as our kindergarteners build foundational number sense!

Our Early Explorer students are beaming with pride as they show off their design process! 💡

A fourth grader from Dater visited Hubbard yesterday and was beaming with joy as he reunited with his former second grade teacher—a heartwarming reminder that the connections made at Hubbard stay with our students long after they leave 💙💛

Enjoy the bright smiles of our preschoolers on this gloomy day! Whether it’s sand play or pretending together, their joy brings sunshine to our Hubbard halls.

Mrs. Finnegan’s class took ownership of their learning in the best way! After enjoying math problems of the day that featured their classmates’ names, students were inspired to write their own short stories to be turned into future math problems. What a fun and engaging way to kick off math each day—building excitement, ownership, and real-life connections!

Students in 3-Lajam are hard at work on their Profile Projects! Some groups even created graphs to share their findings—making real-world connections to their recent math unit on data and graphing. We love seeing our third graders apply their learning in meaningful ways!

Time flies when you’re a Ram! Two Ramsey High School seniors stopped by to help at Spring Fest and ran into a familiar face—Mrs. Pina, former Hubbard principal and now Director of Elementary Education. From elementary to graduation, moments like this remind us of the lasting impact educators have on their students—and the special journey that begins right here at Hubbard School.

(Part three) A huge thank you to our incredible PTO and volunteers for making this event so special. Spring Fest 2025 is one we won’t forget! Go Rams!! 💙💛🌷
