Today, we welcomed families into our halls for Bring Your Child to Work Dayβ€”a heartwarming reminder of what makes Hubbard School truly feel like home. Whether it was reading to our younger visitors, guiding them through morning routines, or showing patience and kindness throughout the day, our students shined. Even on a special day like this, they continued to embody the Profile of a Ramsey Graduate competenciesβ€”demonstrating curiosity, empathy, communication, and responsibility in every interaction. πŸ’™πŸ’›

Right before spring break, Hubbard students dove into Fine Arts Dayβ€”one of our favorite traditions! Ramsey has a deep respect for the arts, and it all begins here at the elementary level. From learning about stop motion animation to creating sculptures, collages, and more, students explored a variety of mediums that sparked curiosity and joy. Fine Arts Day encourages expression, collaboration, and pride in each child’s creativity. Many thanks to our incredible Hubbard PTO for sponsoring this day and to the parent volunteers who helped bring the magic to life! πŸͺ„

After reading The Earth Book by Todd Parr, preschoolers in Mrs. Zuccala’s class shared thoughtful ideas about how they can help protect our planet. Then, they brought their learning to life by creating their own Earths using a variety of materials in the atelierβ€”a beautiful blend of creativity, care, and early environmental awareness.

K-Col collected data. Each index card represents one person and two eyes. First, using an index card in class, they drew a picture of their own eyes. At home, they drew pictures of each family members' eyes. In class they worked with each others' data to complete a chart. We discussed what we noticed about the number of people and eyes. We made observations about patterns of numbers and enjoyed counting by 2's.

Students in 3Lee are so proud of the opinion writing pieces they’re developingβ€”choosing topics that matter to them, using strong reasons, and even addressing counterarguments! One student even color-coded their paragraphs as a strategy to stay organized and clearly show their thinking. These writers are learning that when you care about your topic, your voice shines even brighter.
