Strong like a Ram, steady with perseverance at Hubbard School! There wasn’t a single dry eye in the room as one of our preschoolers was celebrated for exemplifying March’s character trait: perseverance. Students and staff alike clapped and cheered him on—this moment was a beautiful reminder of what truly makes Hubbard feel like home.

There’s no better way to end a Friday than coming together for School Pride! This month, we’re focusing on the character trait of self-control—taking a moment to pause, think, and make good choices, even when it’s hard.

Our early explorers took a creative leap by modifying Can I Play Too? by Mo Willems using Scratch Jr! Students explored storytelling, sequencing, and collaboration—all while giving a classic story their own unique twist through coding!

Students explored the idea of different perspectives during an SEL lesson using a powerful optical illusion image. This sparked thoughtful conversation about how we all see things differently—and how taking a Meta-Moment helps us pause, reflect, and respond with empathy.

Look at all these smiles from our third graders after a successful school show! Students were ecstatic and feeling all the emotions—pride, excitement, and even a little nostalgia—as they took the stage for their final Hubbard performance. What a special moment to remember!

What a beautiful Celebration of Culture concert! Our third graders shined in their final performance at Hubbard, and we had the most supportive audience to cheer them on. Thank you, Ms. McDonald, for guiding them with heart and harmony every step of the way! 🌍🎶

Hubbard School Pride Day Tomorrow!

April is School Library Month, and we’re celebrating Mrs. Erica Lakind—our incredible Library Media Specialist here at Hubbard School! 📚 With 20 years of dedication to Ramsey, Mrs. Lakind creates a welcoming space that sparks curiosity, encourages critical thinking, and builds a love of reading in every student. Thank you, Mrs. Lakind, for making our library the heart of lifelong learning! 💙💛

Engaged learners in action! Students in 2-Weiss were eager to participate and share their thinking during today’s lesson.

Third graders are learning all about data—and today, they explored what a line plot is, what it’s used for, and how it’s similar to other math tools. One student made a great connection by noticing that line plots remind them of fractions because of how the number line is partitioned into equal parts!

T-2 days until our 3rd Grade Celebration of Cultures Concert! We’re ready to take the stage and shine!

Mrs. Murphy’s class is diving into contractions! Students used sentence strips to build word equations like you + will = you’ll—and even added a bandaid on the apostrophe to show what’s missing. What a creative and memorable way to learn how words come together!

All smiles after soaking up the sun and fun at recess!

Students in 3Jordan are writing detectives! By studying an exemplary piece of writing, they’re noticing strong word choices, structure, and craft techniques they can apply to their own work. These intentional reflections help students grow their writing and think like real authors.

Wear Blue tomorrow in support of Autism Awareness Month! 💙

Last Friday we wrapped up our March spirit days with "Our Future is Bright!" Students and staff lit up the halls in their brightest neon gear to celebrate all the possibilities ahead. It was a fun and vibrant way to end the week! ❤️🧡🩷💜💙🩵💚💛

Books, buddies, and big smiles! Last week Mrs. Finnegan's second graders shared their love of reading with Mrs. Reid's preschoolers in a heartwarming storytime. These sweet moments spark confidence, connection, and a lifelong love of learning-for readers big and small!

Don’t let a little rain get in the way of a wonderful weekend! Wishing our Ramsey community cozy moments, big smiles, and plenty of joy no matter the weather! We can't wait to see our students on Monday, ready for another great week of learning! 💙💛

Check out these artists! Ms. Megna inspires students every day to slow down, think creatively, and always strive for their best. Her message of “Quality over quantity” extends far beyond the art room and into every classroom at Hubbard—reminding us all to “Take your time, do your best!”

Students in 2-Royle are fully engaged during math time—asking questions, sharing strategies, and thinking critically as they tackle new challenges together!
