Kindergartners at Hubbard School celebrated Earth Day with curious minds and caring hearts! From planting seeds to learning how to protect our planet, these little Earth heroes are making big impacts one small step at a time. #EarthDay2025

After reading The Earth Book by Todd Parr, preschoolers in Mrs. Zuccalaβs class shared thoughtful ideas about how they can help protect our planet. Then, they brought their learning to life by creating their own Earths using a variety of materials in the atelierβa beautiful blend of creativity, care, and early environmental awareness.

K-Col collected data. Each index card represents one person and two eyes. First, using an index card in class, they drew a picture of their own eyes. At home, they drew pictures of each family members' eyes. In class they worked with each others' data to complete a chart. We discussed what we noticed about the number of people and eyes. We made observations about patterns of numbers and enjoyed counting by 2's.

First graders using coins is pure gold-watching them investigate, sort, and count change like young entrepreneurs in training. Math + money = magic!
