Today, Hubbard students wore green to show empathy and support for Mental Health Awareness. When we care about how others feelβ€”and how we feel tooβ€”we help make our school a kinder, stronger community. πŸ’š

What makes principals so special is the way they lead with heart, purpose, and a commitment to helping everyone grow. Happy National Principal’s Day to Mrs. Linzenbold! We are so lucky to have a leader who models the Profile of a Ramsey Graduate every single day β€” from encouraging collaboration and critical thinking to showing empathy and responsibility in all she does. We are so grateful to learn and grow with you. Don’t forget to wish her a very happy Principal’s Day!

Our first-grade writers are busy planning, drafting, and revising their very own β€œAll About Me” books! They’re using everything they know about strong informational writing to teach readers about their lives, passions, and special memories. We can’t wait to celebrate all of their hard work as authors!

We are so proud of everything they’ve accomplished and grateful for the impact they’ve made. Once a Ram, always a Ram β€” Hubbard will always be home for you! πŸ’™πŸ’›

From a classroom dream to real-world impact β€” Students who are now fourth graders at Dater launched their third-grade Profile Project with one big goal: to bring clean drinking water to a community in need. Inspired by the book Thirst by Varsha Bajaj and their Profile Project, they partnered with The Forefront Organization to help make that dream a reality. Today, a well stands in Valabhapuram, a rural village in Andhra Pradesh, India, providing clean water to hundreds of people. While the project was led by Shea and Brynn, they made sure it was credited to Mary A. Hubbard Schoolβ€”because it truly took teamwork. From helping hands at events to cheering them on, this was a school-wide effort powered by empathy and action. On the plaque: β€œDonated by: Mary A. Hubbard School” Proof that stories can spark changeβ€”and students can lead it. πŸ’™πŸ’›

πŸ’œ In our Hubbard Home, β€œEverybuddy Belongs”! Hubbard staff was excited to support Autism Acceptance Month by celebrating inclusion, friendship, and embracing our differences β€” because everyone belongs at Hubbard School and has the right to feel at home and accepted. We’re also proud to support the district-wide P.S. I Love You Day sweatshirt initiative, organized by RHS Student Congress. This annual effort raises awareness for mental health, spreads kindness, and reminds everyone they are never alone. All proceeds will support West Bergen Mental Health and the P.S. I Love You Day organization. This year’s sweatshirt design is a Ramsey original β€” created by RHS students and staff! Let’s continue to spread love, acceptance, and kindness throughout our community.

(Continued from Post 1…) At Sterling Hill, students discovered that the mine’s mineral deposits are geochemically one-of-a-kindβ€”completely unique on Earth! From the glowing rocks in the Rainbow Tunnel to learning about miners’ tools and daily lives, this trip sparked excitement, wonder, and plenty of thoughtful questions. It was the perfect trip to end our Friday, full of smiles, new knowledge, and bright memories! We are so proud of how our third graders embraced this experience with such curiosity and enthusiasm.

Third graders had an amazing time exploring the Sterling Hill Mining Museum! Found in a small mining district right here in New Jersey, this site holds one of the most unique geological wonders in the world. Students ventured underground and saw firsthand the incredible fluorescent minerals that make this mine so special. It was a fascinating experience that brought science, history, and curiosity to lifeβ€”and what a great way to kick off the weekend with such a memorable adventure!

K-Cam spent some time exploring nonfiction magazines today during Reading. The class was able to build on what kinds of nonfiction books interest them and got to share their opinions on what types of animals they like reading about as a class. πŸ“šπŸ©·

Moments like this spark joyβ€”one of our students created a thoughtful piece of artwork with Ms. Megna in mind! She was delighted to see how he applied the elements of art they’ve been learning, turning creativity into a meaningful connection. This is what joyful learning looks like at Hubbard!

Today, we welcomed families into our halls for Bring Your Child to Work Dayβ€”a heartwarming reminder of what makes Hubbard School truly feel like home. Whether it was reading to our younger visitors, guiding them through morning routines, or showing patience and kindness throughout the day, our students shined. Even on a special day like this, they continued to embody the Profile of a Ramsey Graduate competenciesβ€”demonstrating curiosity, empathy, communication, and responsibility in every interaction. πŸ’™πŸ’›

Right before spring break, Hubbard students dove into Fine Arts Dayβ€”one of our favorite traditions! Ramsey has a deep respect for the arts, and it all begins here at the elementary level. From learning about stop motion animation to creating sculptures, collages, and more, students explored a variety of mediums that sparked curiosity and joy. Fine Arts Day encourages expression, collaboration, and pride in each child’s creativity. Many thanks to our incredible Hubbard PTO for sponsoring this day and to the parent volunteers who helped bring the magic to life! πŸͺ„
