Day 1 of our Set Sail for the Literati Book Fair is underway in the Hubbard Library. 🏴‍☠️📚 Book fairs are a wonderful way to spark excitement about reading and give students the chance to discover new books. The fair will be open Monday and Tuesday from 3:15–4:15, with Wednesday (also our Bingo Night) running from 5–7:30 during Family Night. Students are already excited to browse the shelves and set sail on new reading adventures. We are so thankful for all of the volunteers who helped make this possible and for our amazing Hubbard families who continue to support events like this. 🫶🏻⭐️

A beautiful day like today called for outdoor recess and outdoor learning. Students took their meteorology lesson outside as they explored how meteorologists forecast the weather and learned about cold fronts and warm fronts. Days like this make us excited for the warmer days ahead.

Did you know? This past week was National School Social Work Week. At Hubbard School, we are so grateful for Mrs. Falcone and the care and support she provides to our students each day. Students shared heartfelt messages such as, “Thank you for teaching me to have more RISE characteristics,” and “You helped me when I needed it.” Thank you, Mrs. Falcone, for the difference you make in our school community.

School Pride Day is always one of our favorite days at Hubbard School. Today we had the opportunity to celebrate our February recipients for Respect. We are so proud of these students for demonstrating kindness, responsibility, and respect toward others each day.💙💛

Hubbard School, which was the perfect way to celebrate Read Across America Week. Events like this give students the opportunity to discover new books and continue building their love of reading. Thank you to all of the wonderful volunteers who took time out of their day to help make the day so special 💙💛✨.

First graders from Hubbard School had a wonderful time visiting Mayo Performing Arts Center today to see Curious George: The Golden Meatball! Lots of smiles, laughter, and curious minds in the audience.

Mrs. Finnegan’s class was so focused during their biography research. It was wonderful to see students diving into their books, taking notes, and asking meaningful questions as they learned about inspiring individuals.

Can you believe this was Hubbard’s third graders’ last field trip? That made today at Liberty Science Center even more meaningful. Our third graders took it on with curiosity as their superpower exploring, discovering, and smiling every step of the way. What a special memory to end on. A day we will not forget. 🥹💙💛 Thank you to all of the volunteers who accompanied us on this adventure. We are so grateful for your time and support.

Welcome, Class of 2039! 💙💛 Kindergarten Signing Day is always special, and today was no exception. Our third grade Rambassadors proudly represented Hubbard and did an incredible job leading our incoming Rams. It was so wonderful to see so many familiar and new faces joining our community. Hubbard is truly home, and we are so excited for the journey ahead. 🐏✨

All smiles arriving at school this morning. We missed our Hubbard students and are so happy to have everyone back. We hope you had a wonderful break and are feeling refreshed.

"You are never too old to set another goal or dream a new dream.” This morning in Mrs. Shand’s class, Kindergartners revisited their classroom charter and thoughtfully refreshed their goals for the remainder of the school year. This intentional time to reset expectations also sparked excitement for all the “yets” still to come.

Happy Lunar New Year!🧧 Hubbard School celebrated Lunar New Year with meaningful learning experiences across classrooms. Mrs. Finnegan’s class learned about Lunar New Year traditions from a classmate and even received red envelopes of their own. Third graders explored Korean Lunar New Year traditions and had the special opportunity to see and try on Ms. Lee’s hanbok from her childhood. Other classes marked the holiday by reading stories and learning about traditions celebrated around the world. Experiences like these spark curiosity, build cultural awareness, and help our students develop a deeper appreciation for one another.
