Morning Meeting in Mrs. Murphy’s second grade class was all about collaboration and problem solving. 🌟 Students worked together to complete a puzzle, using their communication and critical thinking skills along the way. Morning Meeting is such an important part of the day because it builds community, strengthens relationships, and gives students a meaningful start to their learning. 💙💛

🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ Reminder: Join our walking school bus as Hubbard students and staff walk to school in recognition of International Walk to School Day! Meet us at the Ramsey Library parking lot at 8:15 am and walk with us to Hubbard School. Parents are encouraged to join too! 💙💛

We are thrilled to share the joyful growth of our new Hubbard Community Garden, a collaboration between our Preschoolers and Third Graders. Rooted in the Reggio Emilia philosophy of curiosity and wonder, the garden is more than just a space for plants. It is a living expression of creativity, cooperation, and care.

As students planted side by side, they nurtured responsibility, independence, empathy, and respect which are core elements of RAMS RISE and the Profile of a Ramsey Graduate competencies. This garden also reflects the strength of our Hubbard community with families, staff, and students working together to grow something truly special. 💙💛

In 2 Finnegan, a simple act of kindness spoke volumes 💙 One student helped a classmate tie their shoelaces, showing empathy, responsibility, and friendship in action.

Students in music with Miss McDonald were fully engaged as they reviewed prior knowledge and built on new learning 🎶✨ Music is such an important part of elementary education, helping students strengthen memory, focus, creativity, and confidence while expressing themselves with joy.

🧮 When first graders use hands-on math activities they build a deeper understanding of concepts, spark curiosity, and make learning fun! 🙌

Writers are hard at work in 1-Chanatski ✏️📚 Students are building their stamina and confidence, and the power of the teacher share is helping them learn from one another. Writing grows stronger when we celebrate student voices and practice together!

First graders in Miss Beatty’s class have been experimenting with math manipulatives and creating some amazing designs and structures. These hands on explorations are more than just fun, they are an important part of the CPA model (Concrete, Pictorial, Abstract) which helps students build a strong foundation in problem solving and number sense. Starting with manipulatives allows children to truly understand math concepts before moving on to pictures and symbols.

Hubbard School has character! 🫶🏻This preschooler in Mrs. Dumont's class showed empathy by comforting a friend who was not feeling well, rubbing his back and checking in with care. When his friend returned to school after being sick, he asked if he was feeling better. A beautiful example of empathy in action!

Only 16 days into first grade and Mrs. Spaccavento is already amazed by her students’ hard work and stamina! 📚✨ They are diligently practicing their alphabet sounds and growing their sight word vocabulary each day.

In Kindergarten math, learning about attributes lays the foundation for important problem solving skills students will use later. By exploring buttons, children spark natural curiosity and have fun while learning to sort and classify, use precise math language, and make connections by noticing similarities and differences. Hands on learning at its best!
