Engineers in 3Clewley followed the design process to research, design, build and test houses that would withstand hurricane winds. We collaborated with our team, reflected on what went well and what we would do next time. We were "blown away" by the results!
Students in 3Cr enjoyed celebrating their opinion writing by taking a "gallery walk" to read each of their classmates pieces and leave a compliment for them!
Tisdale preschoolers explored a STEM activity using plastic eggs and Play-Doh! Students were challenged to build creative structures by combining the two materials. This hands-on experience encouraged them to think like engineers—testing ideas, problem-solving, and exploring balance and stability!
It's Monday, which means it's time for Monday Motivation! This week we will be focusing on being resilient and responsible citizens both in the classroom and beyond! We will face challenges and be responsible for our actions.

Key topics discussed included the importance of school attendance, fostering growth mindset, promoting self-advocacy, navigating social behaviors, and strengthening school-home partnerships. There are so many wonderful fine motor activities for preschoolers, and yarn wrapping is one of our favorites! This simple and creative activity helps strengthen the small muscles in hands and fingers and also boosts hand-eye coordination, focus, and patience. Plus, it's art!
Tisdale 3rd graders in Mrs. Crawford's class use creativity and critical thinking as they collaborate to design a hurricane house. They are excited to work together to build and test their creations!
Tisdale 1st graders had so much fun playing the penny jar game! Their task was to figure out how many pennies were added to or taken out of the jar.
