Tisdale preschoolers took a fall nature walk and collected leaves, twigs, and other treasures to add to their Nature Boards. As they explored, they noticed colors, shapes, sizes, and textures all around them. Creating Nature Boards helps build fine motor skills, encourages observation, and inspired curiosity about the world outdoors.







After learning two vowels during word study, KR students learn to sort picture cards by hearing the sounds!

β¨ Third grade explorers in action! Today third graders at Tisdale ventured deep into the history and science of mining on a trip to Sterling Hill Mine πͺ¨π‘They walked through the underground tunnels and discovered how zinc ore was formed, how miners extracted minerals, and even saw the magical glow of fluorescent minerals under UV light. πΈ Swipe to see glowing rocks, smiling faces, and lots of βaha!β moments.

Spreading kindness one signature at a time! π Ms. Collado reminds our Tisdale students that kindness starts with us and had our kindergarten students in KP sign the Kindness Pledge to continue to promote positivity and build strong friendships!

The Tisdale preschoolers took advantage of the beautiful day and painted outside in the sunshine. Creating art in nature lets children explore colors, light, and movement all around them. Painting outdoors sparks creativity, builds focus and fine-motor skills, and fills their artwork with the joy of fresh air and discovery.

Tisdale preschoolers explore retelling and sequencing their favorite stories with character stones. πͺ¨ This hands-on activity strengthens memory and comprehension, while building language, creativity, and confidence in storytelling. The stones provide a playful and concrete way to bring stories to life and help children make sense of how events fit together! ππ©΅




πAt Tisdale, our school counselor, Ms. Collado, visited Tisdale classrooms to review the Mood Meter and introduce new vocabulary to help students describe their emotions. The Mood Meter, a tool from the RULER SEL program, supports students in building self and social awareness as they learn to recognize, understand, and express their feelings. π‘π



πΆπ Today at Tisdale, our community came together for an All School Sing to celebrate our character trait of the month: RESPECT! This year, we are thrilled to launch our new Character Education Initiative, designed to strengthen our school culture and highlight the positive qualities that help our students grow both academically and socially. π Built around eight powerful traits that spell out RAMS RISE, this initiative will guide and inspire our students all year long. ππ
