Tisdale third graders put their problem-solving skills to work by collaborating in teams to code a robot named Colby through a maze they designed themselves! 🤖🧩 The creativity, teamwork, and perseverance on display highlighted the unique strengths and talents each student brought to the challenge. What an amazing example of learning through collaboration! 💙💛

2026 starts a new unit in Phys Ed for all Tisdale students. They are working on throwing, catching, aiming, force and power. Students had so much fun working with different objects!
Tisdale kindergarten students are building strong reading and writing foundations through dictation as part of their OG lesson! ✏️📖 By listening carefully, stretching sounds, and writing what they hear, students are strengthening their phonics skills and growing as confident early readers and writers. 💙💛

It’s the best day of the month at Tisdale because it’s All School Sing day! 🎶💙 Our students focused on the character trait of service, making a perfect connection to Tisdale’s Sunshine Club service project. ☀️ Students learned how small acts of kindness can make a big difference as we work together to bring “sunshine” to members of our community in need. A meaningful way to sing, reflect, and grow as caring citizens! 💛✨
Loose parts invite open-ended, meaningful play. As Tisdale preschoolers create snowflakes with a variety of materials, they make choices, problem-solve, and explore balance and symmetry. With no single “right” outcome, children build creativity, confidence, fine-motor skills, and spatial awareness while expressing their own ideas. ❄️🤍
Tisdale preschool and kindergarten students gathered for a community meeting! This is an opportunity for each grade to come together once per trimester to develop essential life skills. At this meeting, students learned how to notice glimmers or positive moments throughout their day. Community Meetings help reinforce the values we emphasize every day at Tisdale and support students in becoming kind, respectful, and thoughtful members of our community. 💙💛

Comfy Cozy Day at Tisdale was the perfect way to welcome the snowfall and head into winter break! ❄️🧣 Students and staff stayed warm in their cozy clothes while enjoying a snug, cheerful day of learning as the snow fell outside. It was a wonderful way to slow down and celebrate the season together! 💙💛
Books, crafts, and holiday cheer! 🎄📚✨ Tisdale kindergarteners in KP had a blast reading stories and getting creative with hands-on crafts at the holiday party!

3Crawford loved welcoming parents into their classroom to share their families’ holiday traditions! ✨ Through these visits, students were immersed in different cultures, learned about meaningful celebrations, and gained a deeper appreciation for the traditions that make each family unique. A little snow and cold weather do not keep Tisdale preschoolers indoors. Outdoor time remains an important part of the day, giving children opportunities to move and run, build and create, explore their environment, and fill their lungs with fresh, crisp air. With a bit of imagination, even sand toys become excellent tools for play in the snow.
Tisdale third grade Rambassadors proudly met with Superintendent Matteo this week as part of the Advisory Council! 💙✨ Students shared constructive feedback, asked thoughtful questions, and engaged in meaningful discussions about school matters. We are so proud of their leadership, voice, and commitment to making Tisdale School even better! 💛🐏
