Heart-healthy learning in action at Tisdale PE! ❤️🏃 Throughout the week, students explored the circulatory system through movement activities. First graders became “red blood cells,” delivering oxygen throughout the body, while second and third graders learned about heart rate, how to check it, and the parts of blood. A fun, active way to connect fitness and science!

Tisdale first graders are starting music class on a high note! 🎶💙 Mrs. Campbell begins each of her classes with the Positivity Song to set the tone for joyful learning, encouragement, and confidence. We love seeing students begin music with smiles and positive energy! 💛

Tisdale kindergarteners are 100 days smarter, 100 days kinder, and 100 days stronger! 💯 Our kindergarteners dressed as 100-year-olds today to celebrate 100 days of school. Here’s to 100 days of learning, laughter, and lots of growth. They're just getting started! 💛📚✨

Thank you Tisdale preschool grandparents, parents, and siblings who joined us in January to share a favorite book with our preschool class. We are grateful for the time, joy, and smiles you brought into our classroom. Your visits were lovely, meaningful and helped foster a love of stories and togetherness around books! 💙💛

It was the best day of the month at Tisdale, All School Sing day! 🎶💙 This month’s character trait was responsibility, and our first graders brought the lesson to life with skits built around the question: “What would Rowdy do?” 🐏✨ Their performances showed how making responsible choices helps solve everyday school challenges. A fun and meaningful way to learn and grow together! 💛

​This week, we proudly celebrated National School Counseling Week by honoring our amazing school counselor, Ms. Collado, at our All School Sing! 💙✨ She plays a vital role in supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth at Tisdale School. Ms. Collado helps every Tisdale student thrive and we are so grateful for all she does! 💛

🌍🧸 Celebrating Global Hour of Play at Tisdale! Our kindergarten friends learned, laughed, and grew through play! 💙💛

Tisdale proudly participated in Global School Play Day, our fifth year joining schools around the world in celebrating the power of unstructured, child-chosen play! 🧩 Through play, students strengthened their communication, collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving skills while enjoying time to imagine, build, and socialize with friends. Research reminds us that unstructured play is essential for child development. 💙💛

Hands-on math in action! Tisdale third grade students used straws and connectors to build triangles and quadrilaterals, exploring polygons and their attributes in a concrete, engaging way. By creating shapes themselves, they deepened their understanding of sides, vertices, and what makes each polygon unique. Learning by building and discovering! 💙💛

Snow Painting! Tisdale preschoolers explored color, color mixing, texture, and pressure as they experimented and watched the paint move and change on the snow. A simple, calming sensory experience that invites curiosity and creativity. ❄️🤍

Some Tisdale students loved sharing handmade cards with our crossing guard, Mr. Frank, to say thank you for all he does! 💙 We are so grateful for the care, dedication, and commitment he shows each day to keep our students safe as they arrive and depart from Tisdale. A small gesture of appreciation for someone who makes a big difference! 💛✨

Tisdale students enjoyed an exciting robot assembly where they learned that robots are machines with moving parts! 🤖✨ They also discovered the three key components every robot needs: sensors to gather information, a computer to think and make decisions, and an actuator to move. A fun and engaging way to spark curiosity and learning in STEAM! 💙💛

Even when the weather is cold outside, the fun doesn’t stop at Tisdale! ❄️💙 Indoor recess is filled with games, laughter, and time to connect with friends. Fun can happen anywhere, as students are staying warm and making the most of every moment together! 💛✨

So proud of these two first graders who earned January Acts of Service Star Awards after completing 10 Acts of service from a choice board! 💙✨ Their kindness and commitment to helping others perfectly reflect this month’s character trait of service. Way to lead by example and spread sunshine at Tisdale! 💛🐏

Morning Meeting is the perfect time to build a positive classroom community and strengthen student relationships! 💙✨ Tisdale third graders in Ms. Lee's class worked in groups to solve a mystery, relying on their math and critical thinking skills while collaborating and cheering one another on. It was a fun and meaningful way to start the school day, as well as learn and grow together! 💛

Tisdale third graders are immersing themselves in their culture unit! They are building their skills in researching, note taking, synthesizing, and thinking critically about information. 📖💙
