Third graders from Ms. Lee’s class proudly shared the book they wrote about saving red pandas from extinction with Mrs. Bartley’s first graders! 🐼📚 Through creativity, research, and compassion, these students turned their passion for protecting endangered animals into a meaningful learning experience for younger peers. One first grader was especially thrilled because of his love for pandas, making the visit even more memorable! ❤️ To continue spreading awareness and joy, the third graders gifted their book to 1B so students can revisit and enjoy the text anytime they’d like. ✨

Learning goes beyond the classroom 💡Some Tisdale third graders noticed a need for better sportsmanship and clearer rules during recess... so they took action! The Tisdale Spring Carnival was an incredible night filled with laughter, excitement, and unforgettable memories! From bouncing on inflatables and lining up for the dunk tank to enjoying games, cotton candy, and dancing along with the live DJ, there was something for everyone! Profile Project in action. Students are extending their learning beyond the classroom by returning to the very classrooms where their journey began. Senior Yaneli L. visited her former teacher, Ms. Bohlin’s second grade class, to lead a lesson in sign language, engaging students in meaningful, hands-on communication practice. Her work is part of a series focused on building foundational skills in ASL, expanding students’ ability to connect, communicate, and understand others in new ways. 🌟

“Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.” Miss Sullivan’s preschoolers changed their perspective on drawing by creating artwork under the table with paper taped overhead! The children stretched, balanced, and positioned their bodies in new ways while they drew, building shoulder strength, body awareness, and fine motor skills. Creativity and excitement were both on display as they explored art from a completely different point of view! ✨

The excitement was off the charts at our annual third grade Kickball Game! One of our favorite traditions, this special event brought so much energy, laughter, and school spirit to the field. Beyond the fun, it was a great way for our students to build sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie. What an incredible day at Tisdale with author and illustrator Jannie Ho! Students were fully engaged as she shared her writing and illustration process, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at how stories and characters come to life. 📚✨ One of the highlights of the visit was watching her sketch characters from the beloved Fly Guy series right before their eyes! 🎨✏️ Some of our third graders proudly took on the important role of her “private security” for the day. 😎💙 Thank you, Jannie Ho, for inspiring our students’ creativity, imagination, and love of reading!
