Ram Jams had their first public performance this past Monday at Broadway Night! It was good to see the blazers back in action!

We have great reason to be proud of the efforts of our Arts Department staff and students, and are truly excited about the future!

Ramsey's first Broadway Night was a HUGE success!
The Ram Jams opened the show with Broadway talent to follow:
Hosted by Ms. Fox and Mr. Peterson
Catherine Brunell
(Mean Girls, Something Rotten, Les Miz)
Peter Lockyer
(Les Miz, Chicago, La Boheme)

Impressive fact :: This data suggests that more students are enrolling in Advanced Placement (AP) courses. AP courses are designed to be more challenging and are often seen as college-level courses. An increase in enrollment indicates that students are seeking more rigorous academic challenges, and their confidence to do so is soaring. Congratulations Rams!

Tonight is the night! The stars will be out at Eric S. Smith School, at 7pm! Do not miss the STAR-STUDDED EVENT featuring Broadway performers as well as the performances from our own Ramsey students!

Moving on to Newton's 2nd Law in Physics this week π

Advanced ceramics students try the pottery wheel for the first time (and rock their gorgeous potters aprons while doing it)! Thanks to Megan S. (ceramics independent study student) for assisting :)

Exciting news! With the dedication of our staff and diligent commitment of our students, this is quite the honor!

October is Disability Employment Awareness Month! Working across the district allows us to build not only our vocational skills but also our interpersonal skills. Grateful for our work experience at Tisdale helping the one and only, Mrs. Cedola, in the media center.

The RHS History Club spent Thursday exploring out nation's Cold War era history at Nike Missile Site NY-56 on Sandy Hook. They heard from Army veterans about the decisions that needed to be made to keep the United States safe from a nuclear attack, then spent some time at the Sandy Hook Lighthouse, the oldest operating lighthouse in the US.

Thank you Dr. Thumm for meeting with profile students today. They were so appreciative of your positive feedback!

How do history and culture impact our identity? How does fiction give us insight into ourselves? Ms. Consiglio and Ms. Colucci's Sophomores will be thinking about these questions as they select and read choice books for their upcoming English II "American Identity" unit.

Middle school years set the stage for high school and beyond. Students at Smith rose to challenge and performed beautifully with their accomplishments!

Relationships are key, and today is National Spread Joy Day. What better way to spread joy than to shower the people we care about with birthday love?! Grateful our students get the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with peers and Ramsey staff beyond our classroom. Happy birthday to a former student assistant and to our favorite speech therapist!!!
