What We're Doing: I’ve begun meeting with groups of students—our RAMbassadors—at each school across the district.
Conversations are open, honest, and casual discussions where students can speak their minds about the issues, challenges, and ideas that are most important to them.
It’s a dedicated, direct forum for student voices to reach me.
And because all good discussions are better with a snack, I always bring pizza! 🍕

The Real Pulse of Our Schools: Our RAMbassadors are giving me a direct line to the social-emotional climate and the day-to-day realities inside their buildings. They point out the emerging issues and the things that are working well that I might not see on a district-level report.
Informing My Strategy: The feedback I receive on everything from school schedules to technology access to mental health support is crucial. It helps me prioritize resources and ensures that our policy decisions are grounded in the actual student experience.
Building Trust and Connection: These meetings help me build a stronger relationship of trust and transparency with our students. It’s important to me that every student knows their voice is not just heard, but valued and central to our success.
