We are readers...here, there and everywhere! This week we have read our Star Books & Look Books in the classroom and in the courtyard. We read independently, with a partner and enjoyed listening to an extra special guest reader share a Perfect story with us. Reading ROCKS!










Mathematicians in Mrs. Shand's Kindergarten class are making use of their math tools strategically. Actively engaged, students uncover "longer" or "shorter" lengths of objects using a direct comparison of a ten-cube tower.

Kindergarteners in K-Cammarata are hard at work during dictation! This multisensory approach helps students strengthen their phonemic awareness, letter-sound correspondence, and spelling skills. By practicing letter formation and sound blending, they are building a strong foundation for reading and writing success βοΈ.




HU 2nd graders take on the Meadowlands Environmental Center! Exploring nature, discovering new things, and learning about the environment firsthandβwhat an adventure! As marsh explorers, they connected their classroom learning about landforms to the real world, making this a fun and hands-on experience.

Meanwhile, back inside the school, the Book Fair was in full swing! A huge thank you to all the incredible volunteers (many not pictured) who were in and out of the building, helping to make the event a success. It was heartwarming to see former Hubbard students stop by to say hello. Hubbard is, and will always be, HOME! ππ




One pumpkin, two pumpkin, three pumpkins galore! π Joy radiated from Hubbard students during the fun-filled Pumpkin Fair hosted by our amazing PTO. Smiles, laughter, apple cider, and donuts made the day even sweeter ππ

Hubbard preschoolers practiced their language, listening, and fine motor skills while making applesauce. It turned out delicious!





Our preschoolers are busy exploring, learning, and having fun! Through hands-on activities, theyβre not only growing socially and emotionally but also developing important language and communication skills. Itβs wonderful to see their creativity, curiosity, and voices come to life every day!

One book, two books, three books galore! π» Hubbard invites you to our spook-tacular Book Fair this week! Donβt forget, Wednesday is dress-up day, and all donations will support the Tommy Strong Foundation.

Preschoolers in Mrs. Zuccalaβs class are collaborating to build a sturdy structure! Block play is integral in preschool because it promotes teamwork, strengthens problem-solving skills, and helps children develop early math skills like counting, sorting, and understanding spatial relationships. It also encourages creativity and builds confidence as students see their ideas take shape!

(Part 3) One fun fact: As weβre learning about informational text features in class, students were able to apply their skills at Liberty Science Center by previewing headings and reading captions to dive deeper into each exhibit. A real-world connection to their learning! β
