WIN time at Hubbard - all hands on deck!

HU 2nd graders take on the Meadowlands Environmental Center! Exploring nature, discovering new things, and learning about the environment firsthandβwhat an adventure! As marsh explorers, they connected their classroom learning about landforms to the real world, making this a fun and hands-on experience.

Kindergarteners in K-Cammarata are hard at work during dictation! This multisensory approach helps students strengthen their phonemic awareness, letter-sound correspondence, and spelling skills. By practicing letter formation and sound blending, they are building a strong foundation for reading and writing success βοΈ.

A beautiful day to be outdoors at HU School π

Meanwhile, back inside the school, the Book Fair was in full swing! A huge thank you to all the incredible volunteers (many not pictured) who were in and out of the building, helping to make the event a success. It was heartwarming to see former Hubbard students stop by to say hello. Hubbard is, and will always be, HOME! ππ

One pumpkin, two pumpkin, three pumpkins galore! π Joy radiated from Hubbard students during the fun-filled Pumpkin Fair hosted by our amazing PTO. Smiles, laughter, apple cider, and donuts made the day even sweeter ππ

Preschoolers in Mrs. Zuccalaβs class are collaborating to build a sturdy structure! Block play is integral in preschool because it promotes teamwork, strengthens problem-solving skills, and helps children develop early math skills like counting, sorting, and understanding spatial relationships. It also encourages creativity and builds confidence as students see their ideas take shape!

(Part 4) And just like that... It's a wrap!! What a RAM-tastic way to end the week.

(Part 3) One fun fact: As weβre learning about informational text features in class, students were able to apply their skills at Liberty Science Center by previewing headings and reading captions to dive deeper into each exhibit. A real-world connection to their learning! β

(Part 2) HU third graders collaborated, asked questions, and dove into interactive experiences that brought science to life. It was an inspiring adventure, and we canβt wait to see how they bring this excitement back to the classroom!

Third graders at Hubbard School recently took a trip to South Americaβwithout leaving Ramsey! Students were captivated as their classmateβs grandparents shared stories about life in Colombia π¨π΄, including their traditions, foods, and culture. This hands-on, authentic learning experience helped bring the world to our classroom. Experiences like these deepen studentsβ understanding of different cultures, inspire curiosity, and create real-world connections that enrich their learning journey at Hubbard School.
