What a fun way to instill a love for reading! 📚 2-Finnegan students got to come to school in their pajamas and build forts as part of their in-class celebration! This celebration was earned by working together and following our class charter, showcasing the power of collaboration and teamwork. It’s wonderful to see how our students are developing a passion for reading in such a creative and engaging way!
Okay, we promise this is the last one (we just couldn’t resist!). Our Rising Ram is up front, with current Hubbard students standing by, cheering her on and showing their support. We’re so excited for the journey ahead and can’t wait to see our Rising Rams grow, thrive, and shine at Hubbard!

Students in 3Lajam are making observations about fractions, comparing the smallest to the largest piece and writing the corresponding fraction numbers in order on their whiteboards! As they work through the CPA model (Concrete, Pictorial, Abstract), they’re building a deeper understanding of fractions and their relationships.

We are so proud to celebrate Mrs. Doris Kertesz and Mrs. Maureen Morrissey, who were recognized at the Ramsey Board of Education meeting last night as part of the 2025 NJ Governor’s Educator of the Year program! 🌟 Mrs. Kertesz, our Teacher of the Year, is recognized for her nurturing classroom and strong connections with families. Mrs. Morrissey, our Educational Services Professional of the Year, is celebrated for her creative and collaborative speech and language support. These two incredible educators are the first stop in a child’s academic journey at Hubbard School. Their commitment to shaping students' academic and social-emotional growth sets the foundation for future success.
Mrs. Frank and Mrs. Crispino, our instructional coach, are collaborating to teach fractions to our students! 🍎✏️ At Hubbard School, we believe in putting all hands on deck to ensure every student’s learning is maximized. Together, we create a supportive and engaging environment that helps students succeed! 🌟
Mrs. Frank caught in action during WIN (What I Need) time, which is an important part of our school day. Our teachers provide targeted, small-group instruction to help each student achieve their individual learning goals. WIN time is a dedicated period where students receive focused support based on their unique needs, whether it’s enrichment or additional help, ensuring every child receives the attention and resources they need to succeed💡
3LimaTola and 1Berland collaborated together for a Charter Recharge, working as a team to reset and reinforce their classroom agreements. As reading buddies, it’s always special for our students to collaborate across grade levels, building connections and learning from each other. It was a great opportunity to come together, reflect on the year so far, and set positive intentions for the rest of the school year.
We love when Mrs. Linzenbold stops by to make our birthday celebrations extra special! As part of our cherished Hubbard tradition, she presents a birthday book to the birthday student, making their day even more memorable. It’s just one of the many ways we show our students how much they are valued! 💙💛
Students in 3Lee are exploring fractions by comparing sizes of different fractional parts! Using hands-on manipulatives like fraction tiles and cut-out brownie pieces, they are practicing putting fractions in order from smallest to largest. As they work, students are caught discussing their reasoning and making connections about how numerators and denominators affect the size of the fraction. This interactive approach helps them visualize how parts of a whole fit together, while fostering deep math talk and enhancing their foundational math skills.
