3LimaTola and 1Berland collaborated together for a Charter Recharge, working as a team to reset and reinforce their classroom agreements. As reading buddies, itβs always special for our students to collaborate across grade levels, building connections and learning from each other. It was a great opportunity to come together, reflect on the year so far, and set positive intentions for the rest of the school year.

We love when Mrs. Linzenbold stops by to make our birthday celebrations extra special! As part of our cherished Hubbard tradition, she presents a birthday book to the birthday student, making their day even more memorable. Itβs just one of the many ways we show our students how much they are valued! ππ

Students in 3Lee are exploring fractions by comparing sizes of different fractional parts! Using hands-on manipulatives like fraction tiles and cut-out brownie pieces, they are practicing putting fractions in order from smallest to largest. As they work, students are caught discussing their reasoning and making connections about how numerators and denominators affect the size of the fraction. This interactive approach helps them visualize how parts of a whole fit together, while fostering deep math talk and enhancing their foundational math skills.

Weβre excited to kick off our Charter Recharge! π As we return from break, itβs the perfect time to reset and refocus for the second half of the year. Our students are revisiting their class charters, reflecting on goals, and setting intentions to help make the rest of the year even more successful. Letβs continue building our positive, inclusive classroom community!

We welcomed our Hubbard students back with exciting new additions, thanks to our occupational therapist, Mrs. Diaz, and physical therapist, Ms. Bailey! The sensory boxes, located in the kindergarten/Pre-K wing and gym lobby, provide students with an additional option for sensory breaks throughout the day. These boxes help enrich our studentsβ school experience by offering a moment to reset and refocus. A big thank you to Mrs. Diaz and Ms. Bailey for their dedication to enhancing our studentsβ learning environment!

In this engaging math activity, students are practicing their number sense by using whiteboards to work on math problems, including subtraction and addition within 100. This hands-on learning allows them to visualize their thinking, make connections between numbers, and deepen their understanding of key math concepts, all while building fluency. Through activities like this, 2nd graders at Hubbard School are actively honing their mathematical skills and preparing for more complex problem-solving!

We loved seeing Mrs. Frank support and represent within Hubbard School for P.S. I Love You Day, helping to spread kindness and raise awareness for mental health in our Ramsey community. The P.S. Students learned the importance of caring for their teeth today! They played a fun game to identify which foods are good and which are bad for their dental health. A great way to make learning about oral hygiene both informative and fun! π¦·

Todayβs routine in 2-Royle focused on helping students prepare for regrouping and making 100. By using whiteboards to work on subtraction and addition problems within 100, our 2nd graders are actively building the skills they need for future math challenges. These hands-on activities provide a strong foundation in number sense, setting them up for success as they continue to explore more complex concepts.

Our hallway walls are filled with colorful reminders of inclusion and kindness! These beautiful student artworks showcase the powerful message: βEvery voice matters.β Itβs a perfect representation of the values we embrace at Hubbard School, where everyone is encouraged to express themselves and celebrate diversity.
