We are always making new friends at Tisdale School!


Kindergarten writers at Tisdale use nonfiction planning sheets to list facts so they can draft their next writing piece!


Inspired by the beautiful carpets of Mexico, Tisdale Kindergarten artists learned the traditional art of printmaking. Using their knowledge of line, shape and colors they created intricate design templates to print and use to create these beautiful carpet designs!


Tisdale K writers share their pieces and ask for feedback from peers. What a great way to learn and reflect!


Happy Opening Day! βΎοΈ Safe to say the Tisdale shelves are wiped of baseball books!


Tisdale 2nd graders learned all about "Author's Purpose" and used task cards to determine whether the author was trying to inform, persuade, or entertain the reader. It's as easy as P.I.E!


Tisdale's healthbarn visit this week was popping! Kindergartners learned about the difference between whole grain and refined grains. We also enjoyed a healthy snack option of air popped popcorn!


Tisdale preschoolers sang about sleepy bunnies and each took a turn getting to play the triangle to wake up all their very sleepy, floppy-eared friends!



We love getting together at Community Meetings! Tisdale 2nd and 3rd graders are learning all about "glimmers"... the good things that happen throughout their day!


Tisdale 3rd graders loved the hands on exploration of STEAM concepts at the STEAM Museum. It was so awesome to see science at work!


Tisdale students had the best time exploring at our STEAM Museum! They loved learning and creating with some really interesting centers and activities!

Tisdale preschoolers welcomed the start of Spring by creating their own Very Hungry Caterpillars! Through balloon stamping and creative details, they brought the story to lifeβblending art with literature in a fun, hands-on way.


Teachers are learners too! 3/21 Professional Learning Day for grades 1-4!


This week's Healthbarn visit had Tisdale K and 1 students taking a closer look at the foods we typically eat for breakfast and exploring healthier options! We even made delicious yogurt parfaits!



Tisdale School welcomed NJ Transit for a train safety assembly today. Student of the month, Henry, welcomed our guest speaker!



The Reggio approach emphasizes natural curiosity and creativity through content and the arts. Tisdale preschoolers share their creativity with our school community across our classroom and hallway walls!


Today at Tisdale: Our WIN period allows time to work in small groups on targeted skills. Students are encouraged to share their thought process as we work through multi-step problems!
