After learning about shadows and predictions, these Tisdale first graders predict an early spring! Happy Groundhogs Day!


3rd grade students are busy using tiles to practice finding perimeter and area of irregular shapes.


After reading The Mitten by Jan Brett, the Tisdale preschoolers had the chance to step into the storyβliterally! Just like the animals in the book, they took turns squeezing into a gigantic mitten. This hands-on storytelling experience helps reinforce sequencing, cooperation, and imaginative play.


Tisdale's ceiling tile winners, Carson, Dylan, and Courtney, have been busy in the art room! Their beautiful works of art celebrate the good character and community of our school. We can't wait to display our new tiles for all to see!


3rd graders travel through math stations to apply strategies learned to find area and perimeter.



2nd graders are jumping into their new Social Studies unit! They are learning all about changes from the past to the present, and going on a scavenger hunt to guess what "old" items used to be used for.

What does a 21st century library look like? It looks like students getting inspired from books and creating games from scratch during free choice. These first graders made a catapult game and included all their peersππ such creative student-led fun!

We are researchers! Students in 3A presented their collaborative extreme weather research projects today. We learned so much about hurricanes, blizzards, and tsunamis!


Students in 3M are working collaboratively on their extreme weather presentations. The excitement is building as we get closer to presentations!


Tisdale 3rd graders explore the concepts of area and perimeter by building, drawing, and writing the dimensions of rectangles. They're finding rectangles that have the same perimeter and different area and rectangles that have the same area and different perimeters.


3rd graders are busy exploring measurement by going on a scavenger hunt to measure classroom objects!

Students in 3-Crawford celebrated Martin Luther King Day by reading Martin's Big Words and creating graffiti boards. They brainstormed what each word meant to them and drew a picture or wrote words to represent it.
