Happy Monday from the first graders in Mrs. Assor's class!

Reminder: Schools are closed tomorrow in recognition of Rosh Hashanah. Wishing a sweet new year to all who celebrate.

In Kindergarten math, learning about attributes lays the foundation for important problem solving skills students will use later. By exploring buttons, children spark natural curiosity and have fun while learning to sort and classify, use precise math language, and make connections by noticing similarities and differences. Hands on learning at its best!

Kicking off the year strong with Ms. G πͺβ¨ Students are actively practicing collaboration at their stations and using communication skills to solve challenges together. These are important Profile of a Ramsey Graduate competencies that will help them grow as learners and leaders all year long! πππ

Smiles and hands on learning shine with Ms. Jordan. Building connections, growing confidence, and celebrating progress together every day! ππ

What a phenomenal Back to School Night at Hubbard School ππ A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this night possible, from our Board of Education to our custodians who prepared the building, to our teachers who shared their classrooms, and to our families for their partnership and support. We also had the help of our RAMbassadors, who welcomed families and guided the way with pride. Nights like these remind us what a special community we have at Hubbard. Welcome home, Hubbard family! πβ¨

Friendships are blooming and readers are growing in K-Cam. We cannot wait to see how far these Rams will go by June! πππ

Check out what this kindergartner in K-Cam shared when asked how she is feeling about Kindergarten πβ¨ Nothing better than hearing our studentsβ voices as they begin their journey at Hubbard! ππ GO RAMS.

Mrs. Linden joined K-Sha for their very first SEL lesson of the year πβ¨ Through the RULER approach from Yale, students are beginning to explore how to recognize, understand, label, express, and regulate their emotions. These lessons give children the tools to build empathy, strengthen relationships, and create a positive classroom community which is an important foundation for a successful year ahead π

Join us for Back to School Night at Hubbard School on Wednesday, September 17 at 7 pm. Meet teachers, see classrooms, and hear what is ahead for the year. We cannot wait to welcome you! ππ

Happy Monday! K-Pia enjoyed a visit to the Ramsey Public Library πβ¨ Students explored books, discovered new stories, and learned more about all the resources the library has to offer. What a wonderful way to spark curiosity and a love of reading! ππ

Ms. G began bus evacuation drills with our youngest learners. Look at our attentive preschoolers in Mrs. Dumont's class as they practiced the important safety routines that help everyone stay calm and prepared in an emergency. These early lessons build confidence and ensure our students know what to do to stay safe.

Hubbard School Play Day was a joyful success π²β¨ Throughout the day, students engaged in meaningful play that encouraged communication, collaboration, problem solving, and critical thinking. Play not only strengthens connections with peers and teachers but also supports the skills that help our students R.I.S.E. together πππ

Students in Mrs. Reidβs class had their curiosity sparked in the courtyard when they noticed a tree with red fruit ππ³ They explored books about trees, wondered βwhat kind of tree would you be?β and then painted outside among the trees to imagine their own. The outdoors gives new perspectives and activates all of our senses. π¨β¨
As one author reminds us, βPainting can facilitate knowledge, because painting is a language that supports our observations, curiosity and empathy, all elements that invite us to see things more carefully and get to know what is other than ourselves.β ππ

Preschoolers in Mrs. Zuccala's class are learning all about art room procedures with Ms. Megna π¨β¨ From taking care of supplies to sharing with friends, they are off to a creative and caring start in the art room!

Hubbard School Play Day is Tomorrow!

On Patriot Day, Ramsey pauses to remember the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks.
As a school community and in remembrance of this day, we are committed to teaching our students: resilience, compassion, and unity. π

Mrs. Dumont's class had so much fun with their special visitor! During their time exploring in sensory play, the students were so engaged they even kept Mrs. Linzenbold around to chat as they explored π€.

Our PSD class kicked off their 6 week equine therapy program at Pony Power π΄β¨ Students met the horses and even practiced signaling stop and go during riding time. What an amazing start to this experience! ππ
