This week in Mrs. Leschaks 9th grade environmental science classes students worked on analyzing the albedo and urban heat island effect at Ramsey High School. They measured the temperatures of different surfaces in and out of the sun to use this as evidence for their recommendations. Lastly, students presented their newly imagined RHS with their groups to the class.







The Book of the Month Club met to discuss the novel, "Exit West," by Hamid Moshin and enjoyed hummus bento boxes by Chartwells! Bringing staff and students together to share reading and cultural experiences builds our relationships and enhances understanding of each other and the world around us! Students used legos to create models of human population pyramids in AP Environmental Science. Birth rates are shown at the bottom of their pyramid and death rates are shown at the top.

Students worked extra hard on completing their apple dessert contest assignment, and everything came out DELICIOUS! There is something about a library! We love building our vocational skills at Hubbard's and Tisdale's media centers. Ms. Lakind and Ms. Cedola have built such a nurturing and vibrant learning environment, and we are grateful to be a part of their learning communities.
