CP Chemistry students kicked off the year with a Reaction in a Bag Lab! During this lab, students worked to distinguish between qualitative and quantitative observations and analyzed their data to determine if mass is conserved in a chemical reaction. Their conclusion: it is! ⚗️
Mrs. Shahinian's English I classes are being introduced to all of the cool spaces in the media center through Mrs. Wohlrab's enthusiastic orientation! An added bonus was a visit from Brody, our school therapy dog who brightened everyone's day!

Seniors in Señora Downey's Profile Seminar class engaged in hands-on learning with manipulatives in order to explore and categorize the Profile of a Graduate competencies. Through collaboration and critical thinking, they began connecting with the PoG skills that they’ll strengthen and apply throughout their upcoming project work.

🚙 📈Both CP and AP physics have started their first labs of the year.! CP Physics is completing a Motion of the Cars lab where they are collecting displacement and time data to create Position vs Time graphs; AP students are working with vernier motion sensors to calculate the velocity and acceleration of a ball rolling down an angled ramp.
Students in Mrs. Leschak's AP Environmental Science class used Oreos to visualize the dynamic movement of the Earth's crust. They had to collaborate with their peers to model each boundary and discuss where and how these geological processes occur on the Earth! 🌎 🥼

Senora Downey, Ramsey High School's Teacher of the Year and very own yogi, took the time out of her summer to help teach Ms. Diakos's and Mr. Clark's students how meditation and yoga can help us connect with our bodies and ease feelings of stress. We are learning ways to prioritize our wellness this school year all thanks to Senora Downey!
