Ramsey High remembers one of its own – Rhode Island National Guard Staff Sgt. Timothy Raymond McGill -- a 2001 RHS graduate, who was killed by enemy gunfire during an “insider-attack” in eastern Afghanistan on this day in 2013. A former Ramsey High football and hockey player and Ramsey firefighter, McGill had previously served in Iraq with the Marine Corps. He joined the Guard in 2011 before becoming a member of the elite Army Special Forces, also known as the Green Berets. McGill was 30-years-old.
