
Mrs. Carozza's 4th grade students played a few rounds of 'Heads Up' to review economics vocabulary.




When our students become our teachers! Students in 4G were a model for visiting literacy leaders from across districts. Ms. Guanieri's Ss allowed us to study practice and how our practices affect student outcomes. Incredible day!



Students in 4Kirch/McLaud and 4Chaparro/Ramsden learned all about the distributive property through a new math game called Small Array/Big Array. This game helps students to see how they can break larger multiplication problems into 2 or 3 smaller ones to solve.








Ms. Doherty's book club cozies up with a good book on pajama day! Exploring new vocabulary and reading with voice!



No Cornhole boards? No problem! 4O'Rourke and 5Jezequel got creative and enjoyed their "Buddy Time" playing their own version of Cornhole using their classroom chairs. It was a fun and beautiful afternoon! βοΈ




It's Binary Code BONANZA week in Ms. Doherty's fourth grade GATE class. Students work to write messages in binary code and then code break!!




Family Night at the Dater Book Fair was a blast! π Thank you to all of the families that showed up to support the school.





Students in Mrs. O'Rourke's 4th grade engaged in WIN, "What I Need" activities at the teacher table and through our digital tools!


"We can write the equation? Then solve it? ...Yes!" Students in 5W are excited about equations!!!


Artists at Dater School are off to a creative start exploring art materials, techniques and how to create together! π¨





Homeroom buddies Wissell/McGowan and Ramsden/Chaparro getting to know each other during morning meeting! Dater is loving the new collaboration between 4th and 5th graders!


The students in 4Horton are grammar detectives! π΅οΈ They are applying apostrophes to their own sentences and then sharing their new knowledge with their group!


The Scholastic Book Fair at Dater is set up and ready to go! Thank you to the PTO volunteers (pictured and not) for helping to decorate, stock the shelves, run the cash registers, and assist the students while shopping. We appreciate all of your hard work!









Students in 5Aujero's Humanities class are continuing to develop their characters in their Historical Fiction stories. They are supporting each other with sharing ideas and having discussions to continue to grow as writers.

4Davidson and 4O'Rourke were amazed and shocked when they learned they could write on the desks with expo markers in 4th grade. Who knew being so messy could actually lead to such good learning?!

4Kirch/McLaud got to learn how to play the game "matamoscas" (fly swatter) in SeΓ±orita's Spanish class! Students race to swat the correct Spanish question word hung up on the wall :)
