4th grade math stations provide an opportunity for the teacher to work in small groups & really engage each learner in what they need. The children work independently or in partnerships to grapple in problem solving while reinforcement of important math skills is happening through games like Mancala which reinforces mental calculations and pattern recognition and more!

5th graders consider the role of the scribe in ancient Sumer by trying to "write" in cuneiform. They asked: How will the ability to write things down impact their civilization?

Another Spooktacular time was had by all at the PTO's Creepy Carnival! Thank you to all of the volunteers who made this possible and to our very own Dater school DJ Mr. Quinlan for keeping us entertained all night!

4Guarnieri had a blast learning about how to identify the main idea, and supporting details of a text, particularly with Halloween-themed topics! These eager learners collaborated by sharing their thoughts, and then had the chance to independently apply the skill within their own texts. I am so proud of their progress!
