1R was introduced to Flashlight Friday! The students were engaged during reading time while building stamina independently and with a partner. A quiet dark space with flashlights was a perfect place for bright fluency!
Talk about a Fun Friday! 3H got to read outside during our Camp Read A Lot AND participate in the Hour of Play! What a way to end a fun and productive week!
3L began their informational unit by exploring their classroom library. Students worked in groups to sort the nonfiction books into categories and create labels for the book bins!

Ramsey proudly recognizes Hispanic Heritage Month!
Hispanic Heritage Month notes the anniversaries of independence for Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. In addition, it also recognizes Mexico’s Independence Day on September 16th, Chile’s on September 18th, and Belize’s on September 21st.

We kicked off our multiplication unit in 3Cr! Students used counters to build arrays. They drew pictures of arrays, wrote mathematical sentences to describe their picture, and practiced writing multiplication sentences. They are learning different strategies to solve multiplication problems.
3L at Tisdale participated in a STEM tower challenge to get to know their teammates better! Students wrote down one commonality between them and used the index card to build a tower. The team who is able to communicate and collaborate most effectively to build the tallest tower wins! Profile of a Ramsey Graduate in action!
In the Ramsey School District we believe that all children are natural artists and scientists. 🧑🎨👩🏾🔬 The Tisdale preschoolers are constructing their own knowledge of how things work by exploring their surroundings. 👀

Today, each of the schools in the Ramsey School District paused to reflect on the events of September 11, 2001. Through a variety of age-appropriate instruction and activity, students learned how these events changed our country forever.
We will never forget.
