This week, the 7th grade French students celebrated the holiday, la Chandeleur. Chandeleur is National Crêpe Day and coincides with Groundhog's Day. On la Chandeleur, the French eat crêpes which symbolize the sun representing the move from winter to spring. The students got to make, cook, flip and fill their delicious crêpes with fillings ranging from fruit and whipped cream to chocolate and lemon/sugar. This was a great cultural experience for the students and one that most want to share at home with their own families.
