25 years later, we remember. We honor. We never forget.
This week in 7th Grade Civics, students reflected on the courage and service shown on 9/11 through stories like Welles Crowther, โthe Man in the Red Bandana.โ
Our guiding question: What does โNever Forgetโ mean 25 years later?
Remembering the lives lost. Sharing their stories. And carrying forward a commitment to service, community, and caring for one another.

Today, we remember and honor the lives lost, the heroes who responded, and the strength of our community on September 11.
We will never forget.

Whatโs in a name?
On Day 3, students explored the power of our names as we continue building our classroom community and culture. We reflected on the stories and meanings behind our names, what they represent, and how they form an important part of who we are.
Because building community starts with knowing and valuing the people in it.

What can citizens do? ๐บ๐ธ
On our second day of school, we dove into this big question. Students created a graffiti board to put on paper everything they already know about citizenship, rights, and responsibilitiesโgiving us a starting point for the learning and conversations ahead.

Day one started with community building. ๐
Students tackled a silent challengeโorganizing themselves by height and birthday using only gestures and eye contact. A simple way to practice communication, collaboration, and begin building the classroom culture that makes learning possible.
Community first. Learning follows
