Students in 3Lee are so proud of the opinion writing pieces they’re developing—choosing topics that matter to them, using strong reasons, and even addressing counterarguments! One student even color-coded their paragraphs as a strategy to stay organized and clearly show their thinking. These writers are learning that when you care about your topic, your voice shines even brighter.
Our third graders are kicking off their Profile Project by learning from the youngest experts in our building! This week, we visited Mrs. Reid and spoke with Mrs. Zuccala to learn about the Reggio Emilia approach and gain inspiration from how our preschoolers explore big ideas through creativity and curiosity. At Hubbard, we believe all students are learners—no matter their age—and we’re always looking for meaningful ways to collaborate across grade levels. These moments reflect the strong sense of connection and shared learning that make our school community so special.
Schools will be closed from April 14th to April 18th for Spring Break.
Our preschoolers dove into a fun and fascinating science-meets-art activity! Using magnets and paperclips, they experimented with moving paint across the paper—watching colors mix and react in real time. This hands-on experience introduced the concept of magnetism in a playful, accessible way while also encouraging creativity, fine motor development, and early problem-solving skills. It’s these kinds of joyful learning moments that spark curiosity and help build a lifelong love for discovery!
Tomorrow is a District-Wide Sports Jersey and Cap Day to benefit the Doug Parcells Memorial Scholarship Fund. Students are asked to bring a $1 donation to wear a cap or jersey.

Our kindergartners had a badge-tastic day visiting the Ramsey Police Department! They learned all about how our local heroes help keep the community safe — and even got a behind-the-scenes peek at a police car. Thank you, RPD, for such a fun and educational visit!
April’s character trait is self-control—stopping, thinking, and making good choices even when it’s hard! Thank you to our amazing specialists, Mrs. Berland, and all of our students for showing what self-control looks and feels like. From walking calmly in the hallway to listening carefully during a lesson, we are so proud of how our Hubbard students are learning to pause, reflect, and make thoughtful decisions every day!
Strong like a Ram, steady with perseverance at Hubbard School! There wasn’t a single dry eye in the room as one of our preschoolers was celebrated for exemplifying March’s character trait: perseverance. Students and staff alike clapped and cheered him on—this moment was a beautiful reminder of what truly makes Hubbard feel like home.

Students explored the idea of different perspectives during an SEL lesson using a powerful optical illusion image. This sparked thoughtful conversation about how we all see things differently—and how taking a Meta-Moment helps us pause, reflect, and respond with empathy.
