Hubbard alumni returned as fourth-grade students from Dater School visited for a special peer visit! Joined by Dater's counselor, Mrs. Fishman, they met with some of our third graders to answer questions and share what to expect next year. They also visited each classroom so all students had the chance to meet Mrs. Fishman and the fourth grade students. What a great way to ease nerves, spark excitement, and celebrate the strong connection between our schools! 🐏

Mrs. Finnegan’s class took ownership of their learning in the best way! After enjoying math problems of the day that featured their classmates’ names, students were inspired to write their own short stories to be turned into future math problems. What a fun and engaging way to kick off math each day—building excitement, ownership, and real-life connections!
Students in 3-Lajam are hard at work on their Profile Projects! Some groups even created graphs to share their findings—making real-world connections to their recent math unit on data and graphing. We love seeing our third graders apply their learning in meaningful ways!
Time flies when you’re a Ram! Two Ramsey High School seniors stopped by to help at Spring Fest and ran into a familiar face—Mrs. Pina, former Hubbard principal and now Director of Elementary Education. From elementary to graduation, moments like this remind us of the lasting impact educators have on their students—and the special journey that begins right here at Hubbard School.

Our third graders got a special “early look” at Spring Fest during the end of the school day! Thank you to our amazing PTO for giving them this fun opportunity to explore and celebrate together before the big event kicked off!

One third grader’s Profile Project involves shadowing Mrs. Reid’s preschool class to observe how the environment supports learning. From real and faux plants to natural materials and earthy tones like brown, green, and blue, students noticed how every element is intentionally chosen. Students even observed how different lighting creates shadows and perspective—just like in nature—offering calm, curiosity, and connection in the classroom. What a beautiful way to connect the outside world to the inside world!

Regular Tuesday dismissal for any student not immediately attending the Spring Fest is as usual.
Please complete this NEW form for each child if you and your child will be attending Spring Fest at dismissal (3:15pm) on Tuesday, May 20th.
You will meet your K-3 child on the middle playground (Preschool students will be dismissed at their usual location). Signs will be posted.
Submit forms by May 19th at 4pm.

Students in 1-Berland have launched their new Character Clubs unit in reading! Students are learning to talk and think more deeply about characters—what they say, do, and feel—and how those traits help us understand the story. We can’t wait to see their thinking grow as they read and discuss in their book clubs!
Families are in for a real treat tomorrow! Our first and second graders have been working hard and can’t wait to take the stage for the Spring Sing. Get ready for a performance filled with joy, heart, and music!
