What's happening: Ramsey High School runner Kaylee Finnegan delivered a historic performance on the cross-country trail, placing 8th overall in a massive field of more than 1,200 runners.
By the numbers:
14:46 — Kaylee’s official time across the 2.5-mile course.
#2 — Her rank on the all-time Bergen County record list for the distance.
#3 — Her overall placement among all New Jersey runners in the event's total merge.
The big picture: Kaylee’s 14:46 is the second-fastest 2.5-mile time ever recorded by a Bergen County girl. The county mark has stood for over four decades, held by a Bergenfield runner who set the record (just two seconds faster) back in 1984.
What's next: Kaylee will lead the cross-country team into the heart of championship season.
Way to go, Kaylee! 🐏
