It is my absolute pleasure to introduce Kate Schwanewede as our Board of Education student representative for the 2026–2027 school year.
Why it matters: In this vital role, Kate serves as the official bridge between our student body and district leadership.
She will be responsible for attending board meetings, voicing student perspectives on key policy decisions, sharing campus updates, and advocating for the needs and well-being of her peers.
I am thrilled to partner with student leaders like Kate who help ensure that student voice, wellness, and social-emotional support remain at the forefront of our entire school community.
Hi everyone! My name is Kate Schwanewede and I am an upcoming Senior for the 2026-2027 School year. I am very excited to be serving as the student representative for the Board of Education and I feel so grateful to have this opportunity.
I’m looking forward to being a voice for students and helping make sure that our ideas, concerns, and experiences are heard. I’m especially excited to work with the school community, hear different perspectives, and help make positive changes throughout the year. So with that being said I cannot wait to get started and Go Rams!
Fun fact: Kate’s sister Riley (now at USC) was our first student representative in the 2022-2023 school year!
