Why it matters: Our Inclusion & Belonging Advisory Group, made up of students, staff, and community members, acts as a sounding board for initiatives that foster a sense of belonging for every learner and strengthen community ties.
Big impact: Collaborations with local partners like the Ramsey Public Education Foundation (RPEF), Ramsey Stigma Free, Ramsey Free Public Library, and our Special Education Advisory Council (SEPAC) have led to significant milestones:
Inclusive Schools Week: The second annual celebration in December featured district-wide activities, including a design contest, and will continue to grow thanks to an RPEF grant.
Ramsey Stigma Free & SEPAC: Their leadership helped launch the new student-designed Stigma Free tee shirt fundraiser and the first Celebrate Winter event.
International Night: Now in its third year, the event drew strong engagement this March through live cultural showcases, including Irish dancing, mariachi bands, and African drumming.
What’s next: Plans are underway to partner with the Ramsey Free Public Library on their Lunar New Year Celebration in February 2027. Stay tuned!
