Mr. Ken Veit, Supervisor of Visual & Performing Arts and 21st Century Life & Careers, conquered the Lake Placid Ironman Triathlon on July 20, 2025.
By the numbers: An Ironman Triathlon is considered one of the most challenging single-day sporting events in the world, consisting of 3 consecutive events:
🏊 Swim: 2.4 miles
🚴♂ Bike: 112 miles
🏃♂Run: 26.2 miles (a full marathon)
