After the Rams' 6-5 victory over Jefferson High School, Ramsey High School boys lacrosse coach Dan DeMartino received a call from Jefferson coach Scott Reid. Reid felt compelled to share his thoughts about the exceptional sportsmanship he witnessed.

“After the game, my boys were obviously disappointed, but both of my sons said how they are rooting for you guys because your players were class acts and very respectful. They said they were a bunch of good kids and hoped you win the whole thing. There is definitely not enough of that in our sport these days, so I thought you would like to hear that.
