What's happening: Ramsey DECA students recently represented RHS with pride at the DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Orlando, Florida, held April 26-April 29th.
Why it matters: This conference is considered one of the most prestigious business competitions for high school students worldwide. Students showcased their talents across a variety of competitive events, including team decision-making and individual role-play events.
Go deeper: Students tackled real-time challenges by applying critical business acumen and presenting innovative solutions in role-play settings. Others displayed strategic prowess through comprehensive written projects, such as a 20-page paper on clothing sustainability and a 10-page marketing campaign for a specific product or event.
The bottom line: Students embraced real-world knowledge and DECA's core values: Competence, Innovation, Integrity, and Teamwork. Besides competing, they honed life skills like communication and leadership in DECA's leadership academies, while networking globally.
