Students in 4Kirch/McLaud are practicing being entrepreneurs by creating a business and plan for a new store on Main Street. They did this by studying economics this past unit and understanding the factors of production.
During today's TEDTalk lesson, 5th graders learned the invaluable life skill of how to give and receive feedback effectively. After drawing their own bunny, students in 5Thompson and 5Jezequel discussed qualities that make feedback helpful.

Research skills begin to develop in 3rd grade. Ms. Molinari's class learned to discriminate between important and interesting facts, analyze tier 3 words in content heavy articles and to ask questions in a way that supports the research process effectively.

Today our students shared their creative ideas with the NJ Hall of Fame to help form relationships with K-12 districts and to create meaningful inductee experiences.

The Tisdale preschoolers discovered the magic of snowflakes! ❄️ Using black paper, they caught snowflakes and made incredible observations about their unique shapes and delicate designs. The contrast of the black paper made it so easy to see their beauty up close!

4Kirch/McLaud students are in the revision process of writing and are considering how the use of figurative language might make their pieces more engaging to their audience.
Coding continues in fifth grade as students program Ozobots using block coding. Students used collaboration and critical thinking to create unique lines of code!
During Phys. Ed, students have been learning about different food groups, balanced meals, and "everyday" vs. "sometimes" foods, while also learning about how to connect to their body and body awareness. Great job Tisdale!
