This past week, we recognized our amazing school nurse, Mrs. Alexa Patterson, for School Nurse Day. Nurse Patterson is far more than a caregiver when students are feeling unwell. She is a vital support for student health, safety, and overall well-being. Her work allows students to remain safe, supported, and ready to learn. She also serves as a trusted resource for families and staff, offering guidance, reassurance, and care in moments both big and small. Nurse Patterson's calm presence and dedication help create a healthy school environment where all children can thrive.
What the students are saying:
“I love that my mom is the school nurse! I get to wave at her in the hallway. She helps my friends and me and gives us Band-Aids when we get hurt.” -Billy, Kindergartener
“Nurse Patterson is really nice, and she helps students when they need it the most. She never doubts anybody when they say something hurts.” - Olivia, Third Grader
