Staff training on student empowerment,

Last Wednesday, the Ramsey K-12 Wellness and Guidance Departments hosted an innovative session on social-emotional learning (SEL) with physical education professionals from Westwood, Mahwah, and Saddle River, sponsored by the American Heart Association.

Why it matters: Integrating wellness into physical education helps students build resilience, self-belief, and social connections.

  • Resilience: Learning how to overcome challenges on and off the field.

  • Self-Belief: Developing confidence to set and achieve goals.

  • Social Connections: Strengthening teamwork and empathy through active play.

What they’re saying: By collaborating with our surrounding districts, Ramsey students benefit from the most current, evidence-based strategies for supporting the ‘whole child.’ When students believe in themselves, there is no limit to what they can achieve.” — Dr. Molly Dinning, Director of Student Support Services.

AHA Workshop

Practice makes progress at a recent AHA workshop for Ramsey educators and guests from neighboring districts.

A huge thank you to the American Heart Association and our visiting educators for a morning of growth and inspiration! 👏
