staff and students

This past week, we recognized our amazing school social worker, Mrs. Lisa Moment, for National School Social Work Week. This special week is dedicated to highlighting the vital role school social workers play in supporting students' mental health, academic success, and social-emotional development.

What the students are saying:

"Mrs. Moment helps students that are having a hard time at school or at home.  She helps you feel better by teaching you about breathing exercises, she always listens when we want to tell her things that are happening in our lives, and she always cheers you up."- Nicky, Second Grade

"I love her!"- Aaron, Second Grade

"I like the activities we do together."- Aydin, Second Grade

What her colleagues are saying:

“Lisa has helped so many students, families, and staff members as our school social worker.  I have seen first-hand how her soft-spoken, gentle tone helps people feel comfortable to open up and share.  When I'm reflecting on issues that students need help with, she is one of the first people I go to for guidance and support.  She is a Tisdale treasure.” Mrs. Maureen Clewley

“Lisa always makes time to discuss issues and offers wonderful suggestions. She is kind hearted, empathetic, and looks for the best in everyone.” -Mrs. Carrey Cornell

“Mrs. Moment is such an asset to Tisdale students and staff. With an open door and an open heart, she supports our students and staff through life’s trickier moments with patience, wisdom, and care.” -Mrs. Erika Angley

“Lisa is one of the most giving people I know! She is always willing to stop what she is doing to help and listen.  She is calm, patient, loving, and selfless. We are so lucky to have her and I am so lucky to work with such an amazing colleague and friend!” -Mrs. Debra Grimshaw

We invite students and families to join us in thanking Mrs. Moment for the positive difference she makes each day at Tisdale School!
