What's Happening: The STEAM Club just presented their presentations for the Regional Round of the NJSBA's STEAM Tank Challenge. The STEAM Tank Challenge is an annual, statewide New Jersey competition created by the New Jersey School Boards Association (NJSBA) that encourages public school students (K-12) to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems. Modeled after the "Shark Tank" television show, student teams present their inventions or solutions to a panel of expert judges, including entrepreneurs, engineers, and educators.
Three groups from Smith School presented their ideas:
Park Pal - Sam G., Eric I., Nathaniel C.
Renew Reeds Initiative - Arlette N., Valerie W., Alisha J., Ayan C.
Bike Light Box - Samuel J., Matthew K.D., Poyraz K.
What's Next: We will find out at the beginning of April if any of the teams make it to the next round of the competition. Good luck! We are rooting for you!
