Youth in Action

🎤Today we PRESENTED….at the Rutgers University’s Youth in Action Summit!

📝After months of research and preparation, selected 7th grade student groups were chosen to present their Civic Action projects to other New Jersey Schools as well as members from the Rutgers Education Department.

đź’Why It Matters: The Civically Engaged District Project hosted by Rutgers University promotes active youth-centered, civic learning for all students.

🏫Our students presented on topics such as school water fountain quality, lunchroom conditions, and a need for a 6-8 Financial Literacy curriculum.

🎉Congratulations to all our student presenters and to our grade 7 Social Studies department- Ms. Acebo, Ms. Aiello, Mr. Schrettner, and Ms. Ung!
