There is something especially meaningful about welcoming former students back to the halls of Mary A. Hubbard School. This year, we have had the pleasure of doing just that with Ava Gallorini, who has been student teaching in Mrs. Finnegan's second-grade classroom.

As a former Hubbard student herself, Ava's return has been a wonderful reminder of the lasting impact a school community can have. Now, she is helping to create meaningful learning experiences for students in the very same building where her own educational journey began.

Reflecting on her experience, Ava shared, "My time student teaching at Hubbard has been nothing short of rewarding. Getting to work alongside teachers I grew up admiring has taught me everything and more. Being back in a place that played such an important role in my childhood has been incredibly special, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from such dedicated educators while building relationships with students of my own."

Beyond her work in the classroom, Ava has quickly become a valued member of the Hubbard community. Whether faced with a last-minute schedule change, an unexpected coverage need, or simply being asked to lend a hand, Ava consistently responds with positivity, flexibility, and a willingness to help. Her familiar phrase, "Whatever you need!" has become something staff members can always count on.

Her warm smile, dependable nature, and genuine care for students and staff have made a lasting impression. It has been a joy to watch her grow as an educator while giving back to the very school community that helped shape her.

Thank you, Ava, for your hard work, flexibility, and unwavering positivity. We are proud to have been part of your journey as a student and honored to be part of it once again as you begin your career in education. We cannot wait to see all that you accomplish in the years ahead.
