Hubbard recently welcomed therapy dogs into our school, giving students a special experience across all grade levels. From the moment they arrived, there was a calm and happy feeling throughout the building. Students had the chance to spend time with the dogs in a safe and supportive setting, learning how to approach them, connect, and care for them in a kind and respectful way.

Visits like these help support the whole child. Therapy dogs can help students feel more relaxed, build confidence, and bring a sense of comfort to those who may need it. For many students, these moments offer a chance to take a break, reset, and feel calm during the school day.

In addition to the joy they bring, therapy dogs also help students grow important social and emotional skills. Students practice kindness, patience, and understanding as they interact with the dogs. Experiences like this remind us that Hubbard is not only a place for learning academics, but also a place where students feel safe, supported, and cared for.
