What's happening: January is School Board Recognition Month, a time to acknowledge the dedicated volunteers who shape the future of Ramsey schools. Since 2002, the State Board of Education has formally honored the vital work performed by local board members across New Jersey.

Why it matters: It is important to note that school board members are unpaid volunteers. With over 5,000 men and women serving statewide, they represent the largest group of public officials in New Jerseyβ€”all committed to the success of our students without financial compensation.

Ramsey is grateful for our local trustees' countless hours of service and their unwavering commitment to providing a premier education for every child in our district.

Other BOE News: Last night the Board of Education held its annual reorganization meeting. Congratulations to Mr. David Stitz, Mrs. Jennifer Burns, and Mr. Anthony Socci for being re-elected to the Board for another three year term.
