This year’s squad hopes to break a 76 year drought on Saturday as they take on Rumson-Fair Haven in the Group 2 Championship game.
The Ramsey boys’ basketball program won its one and only state championship in 1950! We have not been back to the final since.
The Rams lost in the final game in 1936.
Recent history: Despite being in the Group 2 state semifinal for the seventh time in the last decade, the Rams had never made it to the final game over this 10 year span.
We going to the ‘ship’: Yesterday, they got over that semifinal hurdle outlasting Lyndhurst 74-70 in double overtime.
💯 Wins for Coach
Last Friday night the Rams beat Westwood for the State Sectional Title and in the process helped Coach Mark Christiansen achieve his remarkable 100th win in his young coaching career.
