The Big Picture: Ramsey High School star senior midfielder and Princeton soccer commit Lizzie Rubin defied an initial 6-to-8-week recovery timeline for a sprained MCL, returning to the pitch in just 17 days.
Why It Matters:
Immediate Impact: Rubin sat out just two games, spending intensive time with athletic trainers to rehabilitate her knee.
Dominant Performance: On Saturday, Rubin recorded two goals and two assists to propel Ramsey (Ranked #2 in state, and #9 in the nation in the most recent United Soccer Coaches High School Rankings) to a 4-2 victory over #11 Immaculate Heart.
Championship Trajectory: Pain-free and back at 100%, Rubin re-joins fellow Division I commits Kendall Reid (Syracuse) and Hope Ernst (Virginia) as Ramsey (9-0) prepares for the Bergen County Tournament.
