What’s happening: Within a thrilling 48-hour span, the Rams softball and baseball teams achieved an extraordinary feat by securing State Championship titles for the 2026 season.
Both programs, showcasing their banners with immense pride and joy, are a testament to their dedication and hard work.
We are ecstatic to celebrate the Rams as they clinch the ultimate titles in their respective seasons, adding another chapter to their legacy.
🥎 SOFTBALL: Demonstrating dominance, the Rams softball team outscored their postseason opponents 62-1! 👀
They triumphed over the Barnegat Bengals with an 8-1 victory in the NJSIAA final held at Ivy Hill Park, Seton Hall University, on Friday, June 12th.
The game was marked by near perfection from Brooke Donofrio, a Maryland commit, who delivered a stellar one-hitter with 15 strikeouts, narrowly missing a perfect game in the seventh inning.
Her prowess wasn’t confined to the mound; she also shone with the bat, going 2-for-4 with a double and a home run, driving in two runs.

⚾ BASEBALL: Sunday evening saw the Rams baseball team competing at Rutgers University, the venue for the prestigious NJSIAA Championships.
By defeating Governor Livingston, the Rams secured their second title in four seasons.
Despite Gov. Livingston (28-5) entering the game as the as the top-ranked public school in the state and ranked No. 5 in the NJ.com Top 20, the Rams were undeterred.
Junior left-hander Joe Scarnecchia dazzled, conceding only three hits against the two-time defending champions.
The Rams concluded their 2026 season with an impressive 22-8 record.
The bottom line: Both programs serve as shining examples of how big dreams can thrive in a small community when athletes stay home to play for their public school! 🐏
The big picture: This year, Ramsey has achieved the extraordinary by winning 5️⃣ Group championships in girls’ soccer, boys’ basketball, winter track, softball, and baseball. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Such accomplishments are rare, with the Rams clinching five Group championships in a single year.
Additionally, individual athletes excelled by winning Group championships in track and field, alongside numerous other league, county, and sectional titles.
