Ramblings

A New Chapter for District Communications: I am thrilled to announce a fresh evolution in how we share the Ramsey School District story with the entire Ramsey community. Launching this month, we are debuting a reimagined, twice-annual print edition of our newsletter, which is now titled Ramblings.

Why it matters: While News & Views has long been a staple of our district, it was time for a refresh that made more sense in terms of true connection to all members of the Ramsey community. Ramblings is a complete transformation in both form and purpose.

What’s Changing?

  • Refreshed Design: We’ve moved away from the older, text-heavy layouts in favor of a modern, high-quality aesthetic. Expect vibrant photography, clean typography, and a "magazine-style" feel that makes it a pleasure to read at your kitchen table.

  • Strategic Storytelling: Every feature in Ramblings intentionally ties back to the Roadmap to 2029, our district’s strategic plan. We aren't just telling you what happened; we are showing you how our classroom activities are fulfilling our long-term promises to students and families. This is evidenced by strategic plan goal area β€œbadges” featured with each story.

  • Curated Content: By moving to a biannual print schedule, we can focus on "deep dives"β€”meaningful success stories, alumni spotlights, and behind-the-scenes looks at the innovative programs that define Ramsey.

Why Print?

  • In an increasingly digital world, we believe there is immense value in something tangible.

  • We want Ramblings to be a keepsake for our families and a bridge to our community members who may not have students in our buildings but still take pride in the success of our schools.

Our strategic plan isn't just a document on a shelf; it’s a living mission. This new format allows us to illustrate that mission through the voices of our students and the dedication of our educators.

πŸ‘€ Keep an eye on your mailboxes for the inaugural issue. We can’t wait for you to see how the Ramsey spirit is coming to life on every page.
