Ramsey High School recently announced sophomores Rory Chiossi and Robert Stanley have been selected as the school's representatives to attend the prestigious Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) Seminar for New Jersey.
About HOBY of NJ: The Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Foundation is a premier youth leadership development organization.
HOBY's mission is to inspire and develop the global community of youth volunteers and leaders.
The New Jersey seminar, typically held at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), brings together hundreds of student ambassadors from high schools across the state for an intensive, motivational weekend focused on leadership skills, community service, and personal growth.
A Highly Competitive Selection Process: The application and selection process was exceptionally competitive, reflecting the high caliber of leadership potential among the sophomore class. Students vying for the honor were required to complete a multi-step submission, including:
A compelling written essay.
A video submission showcasing their leadership qualities.
A formal interview conducted by a panel of school administrators and staff.
Rory and Robert distinguished themselves throughout this rigorous process, demonstrating the commitment, character, and potential HOBY seeks in its ambassadors. We look forward to hearing about their inspiring experiences at the HOBY New Jersey Leadership Seminar.
